MINDSET: Feeling like you “overindulged” this weekend & have negative feelings towards it? READ THIS.

You want to know the cool part? ⁣

You can’t mess up. ⁣

There is nothing to “start again”. ⁣

Whatever you’ve demonised as being “unhealthy” is actually a part of your health — because having it contributes to the quality of your mental health. ⁣Remember, progress comes from overall consistency, not perfect rigidity!!!

Sometimes, when I feel you getting so worked up about “messing up” I want to grab your shoulders, shake you (kindly hehe) and say⁣

⁣ “did you enjoy that?” ⁣

I’m sure you did ⁣

“Did it make you happy?” ⁣

⁣I’m sure it did ⁣

“Do you think that one thing ruined all the effort you’ve put in over days and weeks and months?” ⁣

⁣No it didn’t⁣

Fab then my beaut!!!!! We can move on to the future, where your next meal will probably be more nutritious and yum like it usually is, and where now and again you’ll enjoy treats. ⁣

Because the truth is: of course you will have dinner with friends. Of course you will enjoy a cake slice, or a takeaway You are young and alive. ⁣AND you’re way too badass to be occupying your mind constantly with discouraging thoughts.

But as long as you accept that as PART OF this whole health thing, & you look to the future by simply just getting back to your regular plan, you cannot “mess up”⁣

Health is everything: your body, the way you speak to yourself, your mind. ⁣

It is just as important (if not more important) to view progress as mental as it is physical. ⁣

So if you want to focus on progress that will REALLY change your life: learn to be able to include something you really like (& which makes you happy!!!), to enjoy it, without feeling the need to “start” anything over or feel “guilty for it”. ⁣Just get back to it, that’s all we can do. ⁣

INSIGHT TO ACTION CHALLENGE

This one is simple!

  1. Remind yourself, over & over, “I can’t mess up! I can’t mess up! I cannoooottttt messss upppp!!!” Because you can’t. There is no way to “fail” at any of this, when we get up and keep going!

  2. Describe what you’re excited about in terms of moving forward: you’ve got your workouts & recipes planned through We Are Capable, so that’s sorted! Perhaps re-look over this week’s workouts & monthly fitness challenge.

  3. Move. Forward. All we have is now and the future: so we will choose to move forward!

  4. If you’d like: take a pic of your thought process, share it in our private facebook group and/or on your stories tagging me (@adrianablancfit, @wearecapable_lifestyle, & your accountability buddy!). You never know who is watching your journey & can be massively inspired by you.

You’re capable af!
