MINDSET: Are you feeling defeated for how much your body has fluctuated or for having “fallen off the bandwagon”? READ THIS.

If you ever feel like you’ve lost progress or “fallen off the bandwagon” that is all things FiTnEsS & health for a couple days, weeks, or months? ⁣👇🏼⁣⁣

it’s fluctuated in the past, & it’ll fluctuate again.

this ‘fitness’ & ‘health’ thing is for life :)

This is not a transformation pic. This is a reminder to stop being a dick to yourself when your body slightly changes, or when your fitness level backtracks a bit as your priorities change.⁣

⁣⁣⁣Because the fact of life is: throughout your lifetime of exercising for fun, your body will change. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

Left: middle of uni. All I did was work & workout. ⁣
Middle: end of uni. All I did was party, have so much fun, & workout.⁣
Now: working self-employed & also having fun & also working out. ⁣

⁣My beauts. It’s okay to feel frustrated if you’ve taken a few steps (or leaps) back. Especially during a global frickin pandemic. It means you care, and it’s cool to care. Acknowledge that frustration. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣But then just stop. Stop with the negative self talk, the discouraging comparison, convincing yourself you’ve been defeated. It is a waste of your intelligent, beautiful mind’s energy. ⁣⁣⁣



⁣What is being a dick to yourself accomplishing? ⁣⁣⁣
Nothing.⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣Is the negative, self sabotaging thought process bringing your “progress” back?⁣⁣⁣
No⁣⁣⁣.

⁣⁣⁣Is it motivating you to get back to my normal routine? ⁣⁣⁣
No. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣Is it tainting your perception of either yourself, or the recollection of all the fun you had, delish af food you enjoyed and all the memories you made? ⁣⁣⁣
Yes⁣⁣⁣.

Easier said than done, but relax with all this fitness stuff my beauts⁣⁣⁣.

⁣⁣⁣You have literally no time limit to absolutely any of this. Genuinely. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣So I look at these photos side by side, and I think: damn I need a hairbrush. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣🙂⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣But really: I am healthy & happy in each of these different times.⁣

⁣⁣⁣If things backtrack a bit, it’s just time to get back to my regular habits. That’s all we have to do. Just get back to it. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣Get out of your own head my dudes. Nothing is ever as bad as we make it out to be. Ever. ⁣⁣⁣

⁣⁣⁣

It’s chill. We good. We have all the time in the world. This thing is for life.⁣ It’s exciting! ⁣⁣⁣

Throughout all of this — the ups, the downs, the detours: stop being a dick to yourself. Youz a Queen. Ok? Ok ❤️



INSIGHT TO ACTION CHALLENGE: 

  1. Have a full on conversation with yourself: enough is enough of the negative self-talk. When you’re down in the dumps about your fitness regression, you have two choices: 

    A. Keep wallowing (not for us lil badasses am I right!)

    B. Give yourself a bit of tough love, get up & get going, make a plan and feel EXCITED about where you’re headed! 

Time to pick the second — it’s much more fun that way!
